Rotator Cuff Injuries

Pilates can help restore normal functional movement after an injury has occurred.

What is the rotator cuff?

Rotator cuff is made up of 4 muscles and tendons that connect the upper arm bone ( the humerus ) to the shoulder joint.

Rotator cuff muscles

Supraspinatus

Infraspinatus

Teres Minor

Subscapularis

Swimmers daily spend hours actively using the same muscles repetitively, often causing injury due to overuse and strain. A full body workout to increase strength of the surrounding muscles will help to decrease the possibility of injury.
